Abby's Story
From Kampala.
Through Stockholm.
To the forefront of Africa's AI revolution.

Abby James Tumusiime is born on April 15, 1997, in Kampala, Uganda. The journey from the streets of Kampala to the forefront of Africa's AI revolution is nothing short of extraordinary — though no one knows it yet.
At age 10, James experiences a life-altering separation when his mother leaves Uganda. Six years will pass before they meet again.
At 16, he reunites with his mother in Sollentuna, Stockholm, Sweden — joining his mother and siblings in a new world that would ignite his destiny. What began as a reunion became the launchpad for a genius in the making.
In Sweden, James discovers what would become his obsession: technology. While navigating high school, three Swedish friends introduce him to Artificial Intelligence in its early, raw form. That introduction changed everything.
James devoured every free course, every YouTube tutorial, every scrap of knowledge he could find. He didn't just learn AI — he became it.
His passion for technology, robotics, and space grew so intense that he made a bold decision: he left traditional education to build the future he envisioned for Africa.
He bridges critical gaps — connecting African students with scholarship opportunities and establishing tech hubs across four African nations. These hubs serve as creative incubators where vibrant young Africans collaborate on solutions that will fundamentally reshape their homeland.
"For the longest time, I've wanted to connect under one roof young people from different walks of life. The plan is to innovate change on our very landscape by developing creative thinking communities."
Today, James stands as one of the most compelling AI architects of our generation — a true son of the African soil who refused to let distance define his destiny. He has advised African governments and institutions, guiding them toward a future where the continent doesn't just participate in the global AI race — it leads it.
He has witnessed extraordinary talent across the continent — brilliant teenagers and young adults lacking only the resources and framework to evolve. With his love for space, technology, and the creative arts, James has built a unique ecosystem designed to birth significant, world-changing projects that will impact African society in tremendous ways.
